A rousing first poetry collection from Aaron Lee. A Visitation of Sunlight is divided into two sections: ‘Night’s Long Road’ and ‘A Visitation of Sunlight’, which make up the metaphor of a journey from darkness to light, from uncertainty to insight. Aaron maps out in lucid, measured language the contours of the ordinary and extraordinary landscape of the world he finds himself.

Each poem deepens and extends the poet’s vision and he invites the reader to participate in this journey of discovery—a journey marked by an illumination of the ordinary and one to uncover and chart the “laws of light and dark” which govern experience and its movements and rhythms.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Aaron Lee was born in Malaysia but spent his school days in Singapore. He has received many awards and prizes for his writing, including third prize in nationwide Shell-New Straits Times Poetry Competition in Malaysia. He has been published in journals, anthologies, magazines and newspapers in Malaysia and Singapore. Other than writing, Aaron is also involved in acting and directing for theatre and film. He is currently a lawyer working in the aviation industry.
