FAQs (Orders & Shipping)

1. How do I order your products?

Simply "add to cart" whatever intrigues you. You will be prompted to create an account with Ethos Books, but you can also make a purchase without one.

2. I have a special request for my order. How do I get in touch with you?

You can submit your requests via the enquiry form on our contact page. As best as we can, we will respond within two working days.

3. What currency are the listed prices based on and are there taxes on your goods?

All listed prices are in SGD (Singapore Dollars).

All local purchases are subject to a 7% Singapore Goods and Services Tax (GST). The tax amount is applied to the listed prices during checkout. This provides you with a clear breakdown of what you are paying for, and also helps with our accounting purposes.

If your shipping address is outside of Singapore, then GST will not be applied to your order in accordance to Singapore tax laws.

4. What are the payment methods available?

We accept debit, credit or PayPal payment for local and international orders. A Paypal account is not required for credit/debit card transactions. 

For local orders, we also provide the options of i-banking, atm transfer or cheque.

Additionally, we warmly welcome visits to our office at 28 Sin Ming Lane, #06-131 Midview City, (S)573972 from 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday. (You get to browse our wide range of literary & non-fiction titles too!) But please do give us a call before you visit us so we can ensure that there will be someone available to attend to you. 5. How much do you charge for shipping cost?

For local orders, delivery is free!

For international orders, we charge a rate based on weight inclusive of a S$5 handling fee. For bulk orders above 2kg, please contact us for more information.

6. How will my order be shipped? 

We ship via Singapore Post for most orders and Zyllem for local orders above 2kg.

All overseas orders will be sent as registered articles provided the service is available to the country of destination. It is a Sign-For service that requires a signature on delivery and provides an added security for mail

We will email you a tracking no. which you can use to track the movement of your Registered Article here.

7. How long will it take for my order to reach me? 

We aim to send out your package/s within 2 working days of your order. 

Shipping for local addresses: 3-5 working days
Shipping for international addresses: 3-10 working days, subject to customs clearances

We will not be responsible for items lost in transit. 

8. I have received a faulty item, how do I go about exchanging it?

We take great care in hand-packing your books and hope this is not the case.

However in the event that your order is damaged during delivery, please contact us and we will work out a satisfactory solution.

9. Can I cancel my order and receive a refund?

If you cancel your order within 8 hours, we will provide a full refund. However, if we have already sent out your order, please return our parcel unopened for a full refund.
