Hema Kiruppalini

Hema Kiruppalini has lived in the East Coast‐Marine Parade area since young. Although she was a resident of the Siglap housing estate for just a few years, the meaningful friendships she forged made it a place that held special significance for her. She is currently pursuing her PhD in History at the National University of Singapore (NUS) with research interest on the Nepalese Gurkha community. Prior to this, she worked as a Research Associate at the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS), Singapore.
