5 Under 25

Surfacing and supporting young writers is at the core of a publisher's mission. And as Mr Fong shared, it was the genesis of Ethos Books --- the imprint began with the publication of then newcomers Alvin Pang, Aaron Lee and David Leo, all of whom have gone on to establish themselves as luminaries in our literary community.

"5 under 25" continues the mission of Ethos Books, and is all the more significant because it was initiated by two young poets with star-bright promise---Jerrold Yam and Theophilus Kwek. Together with Cheryl Julia Lee, Ruth Tang, and Shawn Hoo, they are expanding our literary constellation.
