Praise
“Whether one is a housewife or a wealthy high net worth individual and whether they are living in Singapore or overseas and may be thinking of investing in Singapore, the subject of real estate in Singapore is generally something that is in one’s mind as it is a big ticket dollar value investment and one has to evaluate carefully several factors. Hence, this book by Woon Lye who has worked more than 30 years in banking and lending side of the real estate segment and sharing her insights of the Singapore real estate is timely. I enjoyed reading her book as it is written in a very practical manner.”
— Ms Goh Ann Nee, CFO, City Development Ltd
“Woon Lye has mined her years of experience to produce a comprehensive, forward-looking book on buying property in Singapore. I found her thought processes extremely helpful in mapping out all the considerations involved. These are not only financial but other factors like convenience, long term development, etc. Whether you’re looking at buying your first home, or investing in another one, this is your first stop.”
— Dr Winnie HS Goh, Senior Consultant, Department of Child Development & Paediatric Neurology, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital; Adj Associate Professor, Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore
“Practical insights to investing in Singapore residential property – uniquely through the lens of a top notch Head of Mortgage Banking.”
— Ms Carolyn Choo, CFO of a local hotel chain
“I would advise all those interested in buying a property to read this book before meeting up with housing agents. The book describes different scenarios about buying Singapore property and alerts us to relevant factors and their implications. I found the financial information on affordability and the explanations about recent government measures invaluable. I wish the book had been written earlier. It is sound and practical advice from a knowledgeable source, which not only gives us the background of the property market, but also brings us up to date with its current trends. Woon Lye shares her insights from her long experience in property financing and its changing policies.”
— Dr Rosemary Khoo, Educationist and Applied Linguist; President, NUS Senior Alumni
“As an educator with minimal knowledge in finance and property, this book has given me a better insight into the property market. For those who are prospective buyers, the book provides a comprehensive guide for them to make informed decisions on the property they wish to purchase.”
— Mrs Carmee Lim, Mentor Principal, Mind Champs Holdings; Former Principal, Raffles Girls School
