Moments in the island’s real history will reverberate through the course of its current challenges, its cycles of self-making, and the future of our world order.

About the Artist

Tan Kwang Yang is an illustrator and comic artist based in Singapore. He is often inspired by his surroundings, from the old shophouse-lined streets of Tanjong Pagar to shivering birds taking shelter from the rain and the Merlion that somehow always appears when he pays a visit to Marina Bay.

While he is currently focusing on improving his foundation of art and design, his ultimate goal is to create compelling comics with endearing, enduring characters.

He enjoys discussing quantum physics and the fate of the universe with his cats, who have provided him with great insights into the meaning of life. You can say hi to him on Instagram @tanky.sg.
