by Reshma Aquil
Reshma Aquil’s gift as a poet is one of evocation—a scent of something remembered, a landscape rendered, an innocence redeemed.
Lyrical and instinctive, she uses words like brushstrokes that recall at once our childhood, and the losses we bear in growing up, growing into the world at large. By turns tender and wry, pensive and sensuous, it recalls and celebrates that first sharp breath of discovery.
